Round One of the 2007 MAXXIS Georgia Cup in Albany, Georgia is a figure-eight, 2 km course through downtown.

Starting on Pine Avenue, taking a right into the long straightaway down Jackson, then a sharp right turn onto Roosevelt and then another sweeping turn down Washington. Look for riders to be building speed here to carry them through the next few turns. Each will be fighting to be the first to take the straight line through the tricky round-about at the bottom of Pine and onto Front Street. From Front Street, its a slight uphill drag to the finish, but with two corners still remaining, it might just be enough to catch a few out of sorts before the final lap. The bell lap will cause the Pavlovian sprinters to find their way to the front, but with 2 km still to go in the last lap, it may prove to be too far and the winner could feasible come from tenth place or deeper.
